It was a mere two days ago that we shared the magical "Pittsburgh" from Alexei Shishkin's upcoming 3 out 12/15 on Forged Artifacts and today we're pleased to share "Muddled". Despite its namesake, this track is smooth and clean, Shishkin's vocals are a thing of warmth and mystery, sharing the woes that accompany not understanding what another is upset about. Instrumentals peek their way through and then disappear, an almost jazz-like guitar providing a pulsing twinge, accompanied by brushed, bouncing percussion. It's a single that lulls you into closing your eyes and losing yourself to the music, its easygoing nature stripping away your worries and fear. In the rush to end an often awful year, many have already declared their favorite albums or singles, but Forged Artifacts and Shishkin are sneaking in with something wonderfully gorgeous; an album perfect for the chilly days ahead spent fireside.
