Summer never seems long enough, especially in Pennsylvania. The season may have just arrived, but living in a land of snow and rain is a constant reminder that the sunshine won’t last forever. The beautiful state of Pennsylvania plays a central theme in the new LP Looking Back It Was Romantic But At The Time I Was Suffocating from Kissing Party, and it’s possible the state inspired single ‘Justine” too. The mellow, fuzzy pop comes as easily and as quickly as an East Coast summer, and leaves a spirit of hopefulness for an eternal summer .

Released through Fleeting Youth Records on 6/30 pre-orders are available now. According to a press release,

“Denver’s Kissing Party has perfected what pop music should be: infectious two-minute drunken guitar pop songs that stick in the mind like glue. They are known for their jangly guitars, raucous live shows, and charming blend of boy/girl vocals, which is why their forthcoming album ‘Looking back it was romantic but at the time i was suffocating’ is a perfect introduction to the band with their takes on debt, regret, heartbreak, hair dye & Pennsylvania.”
