The gunning, full-throttle start of "Cryin' Wild" is only just the beginning of where Advertisement takes us on this new single from an upcoming EP (This is Advertisement out 2/23) on Help Yourself Records. According to a statement from the band, the track is their attempt to write a pop song and it's certainly a more than successful attempt. Their rambling rock and roll comes kicking from the get-go, its influence from rock of eras past evident in howling lead vocals, powerful, electric guitars and brash drumming. It's a swinging party-like atmosphere for nearly four minutes, the band's raucous noise enlivening the hallmarks of vintage rock and roll for a modern-day audience. It's unforgettable and rapid, ensuring listeners will wanna press play and relive the fun again and again.

As the band explained:

"Pop music as a tradition is a constant struggle to connect the living past to what presently moves us. The link between rock and roll and pop, in my mind, isn’t dated, but rather a way of making sense of freedom and beauty which tries to be sincere and authentic. Writing hooks and melodies in the pop format is a vulnerable and real experience, one way more difficult than often given credit. With that said, “Cryin’ Wild” is our attempt to write a pop song, and I think we’ve done a fantastic job."
