Citris puts to song the feelings that come with the familiar scent of the one you love. Whether perfume or soap, there's always a lingering scent, a reminder of someone that you're so desperate to hold on to. On the gritty, but sugary "Coco Chanel," Citris sings an ode to an all too familiar perfume - Chanel No. 5. There's a sincere vulnerability to their punched up pop, the band charging through, but also taking the time to slow things down and deliver on a serious dose of charm. As the band explains in BlackBook, the track is about wanting a love that never fades and comparing it to a Chanel perfume. Look for their LP to drop at the end of the month on New Professor Records.
