For the debut of their newest single, "Double Goer," Blizzard Babies put together a video collage of vintage clips. The single comes from the band's new tape out July 13 on Don Giovanni Records. From an unnerving black cat to a peaceful record listening session, the clip perfectly matches the tone and speed created by this latest noisy, and memorable offering. The single begins with a bit of unsettled guitar, that seemingly hints at something more to come, and soon after the band delivers, recounting a tale of doppelgängers and death. For much of the single, Blizzard Babies let their vocals easily intermingle with the fuzz and fun of their instrumentals, but every so often, their cries turn sharp, the instrumentals becoming ominous, and they shout out this request to continue living. In its final moments, "Double Goer" turns to just guitars and drums, drawing on a reckless energy that lingers with you long after the song plays out. From the visuals to it soundtrack, "Double Goer" is akin to taking a trip into an era of horror movie past, complete with a finale that leaves you just a touch unsure of what could possibly be waiting around the corner.
