Disbelief and vulnerability are a common thread in relationships. You're trusting that other person to stay, even when they find your darkest secrets and even when you can't understand why they would. And for this lead single from Gold Light's upcoming Visions album out 3/11 through Hearts & Plugs, the band is grappling with what comes after. The visions of a past, the rosebushes left behind to serve as a permanent reminder on walks home. And it's all backed with a fuzzy blossoming of strings and singer Joe Chang's distinctive yelp. When the elements all come together it feels as eerie and empty as that dark, lonely walk past abandoned blossoming flowers.
