PWR BTTM's visual treatment for "West Texas," is in a word - perfect. Filmed in an abandoned water park outside the Mojave Desert, the video features confetti canons, pool toys and of course, glitter. It's fantastic fun with serious heart, and as the band explained to NPR, the track epitomizes what I've come to love about PWR BTTM - we should all totally love and celebrate ourselves. Whether the memories that compromise our past and present are good or bad it's about finding the glimmer of sunshine in your own abandoned wastelands, and blasting headlong into a future of good, confetti canons loaded.
If you haven't yet picked up a copy of the duo's previously released Ugly Cherries Miscreant Records & Father/Daughter Records are reissuing it on vinyl for the first time, available as a red colored LP. Preorders are being taken by both labels, to be released on April 15, 2016.
