7": Burnt Palms/Sunset Swim Split

Burnt Palms and Sunset Swim have teamed up for a 7" split that will have you dreaming of finding a beach babe you can soak in the sun with. The A-side, "Anything for You" from Burnt Palms features a mantra-like promise of "I'll do anything for you," ringing clear over a fuzzy backing of guitar and drums. It's a constant assurance, and even as the noise rises, the promise remains. On the B-side "I Don't Want to Lose You Now," Sunset Swim makes sincere apologies to one they've wronged, pleading for them to stay. The sun-soaked guitar, ringing in reverb and smacks of percussion are unusually happy and buoyant compared to the song's central message of being "faded" and apologetic for bad behavior. Together, the bands make one charming message, capturing the soaring highs and devastating lows of falling for someone.
