mp3: “Deny” - Scully

Lately, it seems as if the sun has been making fewer appearances. Dark, dreary skies have started to settle in along with colder temperatures and days that seem more suited for never leaving the covers, rather than the fun and adventures of summer. A new season might be ready to make its arrival, but thanks to the tour split cassette from Scully (ft. members of Habibi, Splinters and Numerators) & Las Rosas we never really have to leave the sun-soaked fuzz of summer behind.

The two Brooklyn-based bands have released a limited number of cassettes through label That Summer Feeling. Rumor has it, the band sold all of their copies during tour, so online is the only place to grab a copy of your own. Lucky for you, TSF has a few copies left.

Whether the smoldering and mysterious lo-fi of Scully (who even give X-Files Dana Scully a track of her own) or the jangly desert rock swathed in a vintage swirl from Las Rosas, both bands meld their blissful fuzz together, and we’re just happy to tag along on the journey away from fall doldrums and straight into a never-ending summer.
