There are moments when words are unnecessary, when a piece of music stands by itself, taking your breath away from its beginnings and "East Coast" from Roz and the Rice Cakes is one such track. Roz Raskin's falsetto shines and soars against a backdrop of experimental pop sounds that are pure, crystalized magic. With sounds seemingly plucked from an earlier era, "East Coast" is a gorgeous slow waltz through a world riddled with mystery and beauty. It's best that for this one, you just close your eyes and let "East Coast" take you wherever you're meant to be. Look for the band's album Devotion on 10/13 through Team Love.
