This was our tenth tour to date, I think, and the first where we didn't play a single game of pool or catch some godawful blockbuster in a dark theater on an off-day—both of which had become tour traditions. It was also our first completely self-booked tour in over a year, and we're realizing we're a bit past that initial feeling of adventure and abandon that the first handful of DIY-style tours tended to have. In other words, we're not in our mid-twenties anymore. But, while touring on your own can be a grind sometimes, this was certainly one of the better ones -- and it's always great to play with so many friends in other cities and catch up with people we haven't seen in a while."
