song: "C.O.Y.F." - Lilith
Consider yourself fortunate if you’ve never fallen for someone that’s definitely not as they appear to be on the surface. For those of us still reeling from those cowards, Lilith created your new go-to anthem: “C.O.Y.F.” It’s the lead single from the band’s upcoming debut full length, Safer Off, and at an initial listen, all would appear to be breezy and bright. However, if you listen closely, vocalist Hannah Liuzzo takes direct aim at one that clearly doesn’t give a shit, calling out their worst behaviors, particularly an inability to pay attention. The sound of amusing keys, crunchy guitar, and claps of percussion help set the stage for something that’s seemingly so sweet, but in reality, Liuzzo, along with Kelsey Francis and Adam Demirjian are ready to reclaim what’s theirs. And quite frankly, it’s best if you just step out of their way.
