Anxiety is an all encompassing, unrelenting feeling. It holds power over your whole body, rendering you useless and overcome. On Jack's newest single "Anxiety" the artist poetically and accurately captures the torment in song form. It's the latest single from an upcoming March 1 release on Sad Cactus Records, and reflects the tidal wave of nervous energy that accompanies our panic. The track begins furiously and pronounced, resounding guitar and torrents of noise are there to greet you, stepping back to let Brittany Costa cry out and share her story. Listen closely to her tale: "exposed bones" the inability to breathe, shaking body parts and a sense of falling apart are all hallmarks of our most anxious moments, and Costa tackles them all in her singing. And while the beginning of her song might be filled with fury the track wavers near its conclusion, echoing the eventual subsiding of the emotion. "Anxiety" is a powerful moment, a reminder to those listening that they are not alone in their struggle, and that eventually all will turn to quiet again.
