MOD CON & Fair Maiden team up for the perfect split pairing - both bringing their take on the fuzz and fun of garage rock, but in differing, complimentary ways. MOD CON opens it with single, "Do It Right Margo," a boot-stomping, old fashioned moment of rock and roll, complete with instrumentals awash in noise and shouted vocals that are energizing and ferocious. "Do It Right Margo" shakes with attitude and blistering rage, but in a way that's appealing and inviting. Meanwhile, split partner's Fair Maiden slow things down, with a dreamy, but still reverb-laced single called "Coal". While not nearly as biting as their album counterpart, the surf rock single complete with catchy licks and criticism lodged at someone "who cheated in the fight" still brims with the same earnest nature that's apparent of MOD CON's contribution. It's the perfect comedown from such a fiery opener and together the release is perfect for whatever feelings and emotion are currently swarming about your head and heart.
