Last night, I was sitting at a bus stop in the pouring rain. If you’re ever wondering where I am: I’m usually waiting for the 44 somewhere in Seattle and I’m without a doubt, on my phone. I refreshed Twitter and saw King Gizz shared a new song. I then proceeded to watch the video for said song and to be honest, I have yet to stop.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard or as I call them: my favorite boys from Australia, shared “Crumbling Castle”. The song is well over the ten minute mark and was released with an amazing video from longtime Flightless Records collaborator, Jason Galea. The band is really slacking off this year- releasing three albums so far (Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe, Sketches of Brunswick East) and now this song. Listeners can hope “Crumbling Castle” will be included on an upcoming record, the band has promised five by the end of the year.

Seriously, I haven’t stopped listening to this song. It’s playing right now. It’s like if Murder of the Universe, Quarters! and Nonagon Infinity became one very long song. There's the typical tempo punches from Nonagon, wandering qualities of Quarters! with an ominous, foreboding exit reminiscent of Murder.

Needless to say, King Gizz keeps giving and I’m here for it.
