video premiere: "LUV" - Neaux

Blissful and fuzzy, Neaux's "LUV" transcends its noise-swathed surroundings, pulling you in with the dreamy soprano of vocalist Sierra Kay. For this single the band combines elements of shoegaze with noisy grunge; harsh meeting soft in a single of stark, but complementary contrasts. The track comes from Chain Up the Sun out on The Native Sound and its accompanying visuals, shot by band member Mike Iannatto and edited by Kay are a perfect pairing, with Neaux laying back and performing, seemingly recorded on a grainy camera. "It doesn't have to be so hard," Kay points out, seemingly lamenting the difficulties of a relationship wishing that the partner would just give them what they want and makeout. It's a simple, sugary single that passes all too quickly, leaving one in a fuzzy daze.

Nick Fit of the band explained that, The video is just an idea that three of us had, so we picked up a camera and started shooting stuff. What came of it was something intimate in a way to match the vibe of the song. Our approach as a band is pretty care free so it's no surprise that this video is in that vein.”
