Near the end of 2017 we introduced you to Jaws of Love., the solo project from Kelcey Ayers of Local Natives. Jaws of Love.'s evocative and emotional recordings are slowed down and stripped back from Ayers other work and single "Before the Hurting Lands" received a live session treatment for K-Rizzla Records. It's the third in a series of session videos from the singer, and this track is particularly haunting and sparse. The instrumental effects of keys and drums are a thing of understated beauty on "Before the Hurting Lands," the single allowing Ayers to shine as a vocalist, his warm croon gripping you with its sincerity and feeling. It's one of those moments that feels unmistakably intimate, as if you're seated in the very room where this was recorded.
