video premiere: "Vamp" - Exmaid
In a downright comedic and adorable video, Exmaid absolutely rips through a performance of their single "Vamp". It's the latest track from the band's upcoming Don Giovanni & SRA release (out 4/11) and it is a biting, ferocious three minutes. And while the video treatment for the track has the band playing out the track for a wedding they were uninvited to, complete with a moment in cutting the cake, the song is a far-cry from the usual tearjerking slow dance expected of the ceremony. "Vamp" is continually unrelenting in its energy; a torrent of noisy guitars and fuzz providing the soundtrack for a track that details a gruesome period of waiting. "Vamp" is a dash different than the album's previous track "Devoted", but the vocals of Miranda Taylor prove just as memorable, with her shouted delivery packing a powerful wallop.
