album: I've Tortured You Long Enough - Mass Gothic

I've Tortured You Long Enough is an album of continual twists and turns, a soundscape so diverse and surprising that you're left dazzled by its every passing second. The album is the second from duo and partners Noel Heroux and Jessica Zambri and it's one serious whirlwind, channeling everything from frenzied and unstoppable energy, complete with a blown out, massive guitar solo ("Call Me") to a slowed down and sweet ballad, filled with tender romance and understated strings sure to tug at your heart ("How I Love You").

The duo's continuing willingness to experiment is what makes this album so particularly exciting and unique. Mass Gothic's identity is nearly undefinable, with the pair blasting through genres and ideals with a sort of unsettled energy. Whether losing yourself to the starry synths and complimentary vocals found in the spacey fuzz of "J.Z.O.K." or floating off in the dazzling airiness, throbbing rhythms and vast instrumental expanse of the album's title track, the release is one sure to keep you enraptured.

Take the journey for yourself when the album comes out tomorrow on Sub Pop.
