The debut EP from London’s Love L.U.V. is a sugar rush with spunk. The swoon-worthy soprano of vocalist Lucy Doyle is a heavenly contrast to the jolted up “garage pop sugar kick” provided in bandmates Tommy Atkins (guitar), Steve Quigley (drums) and Jessica Turner (keys). With a dash of sugar, spice and everything nice, this foursome gives the usual grit and grime found in garage rock a surprisingly sweet dose of charm.
