It's a feeling I've experienced so often, the rush of the worst, horrible outcomes plaguing your every spare thought. When you're in the midst of that anxiety, as I am now, it's hard to see a beautiful outcome, to know that something better may lay ahead. "23" turns those ugly feelings into something breathtaking. Against a rush of instrumentals, vocalist Jilian Medford rises above it all, her vocals competing with the buzzing of guitar, drums and playful bells.
