On "Hey Bud", First Responder surmises their upcoming EP - In My Dreams My Windows Faced West out 12/16. The bright, crystal clear vocals of Sierra Mollenkopf rise above a soft, complimentary backing of instrumentals. As the guitar grows louder, the noise more apparent, a story of hope, and what awaits on a brand new day begins to unravel - "maybe tomorrow there'll be flowers." As Mollenkopf explains - "Most of the songs on 'In My Dreams My Windows Faced West' were written to be sung to acoustic guitar, and served more as dark personal confessions and musings. With the accompaniment of noise guitar and a full band the songs become less like diary entries, and more like lifelike dreams or visions of the past. Discussions of past abuse are tinged with hope, clarity found in retrospect, and can be summarized with the line "...maybe tomorrow there'll be flowers".
