“Angel of Boredom” is a soundtrack of release, of bidding farewell to toxicity, but being able to look back.

Crisp, cutting guitars set an energetic pacing, backing David Coughlin as he mentally flips through a batch of “sad memories.” Joined on vocals by Willow Hawks of the Sonder Bombs, the pair ponder what the future holds for a toxic relationship that’s no more. For much of the single, there’s frenetic instrumentals as guitar and drums create beautiful chaos, but for the briefest moment, it’s all peeled away and Coughlin and Hawks come through at their clearest. In the stillness, only strings are there to back the pair as they recall hallmarks of the former partner — “You rub together your feet to help you fall asleep….You cry when you drink.” And just as quickly as the quiet comes, it all returns, and you’re sent straight through a monumental finale.

“Angel of Boredom” appears on Drag Daze, the band’s self-titled debut out 10/18.

Lead single off of Drag Daze's debut self-titled album due Oct 18th, 2019 Featuring Willow Hawks of The Sonder Bombs Lyrics: As I open the door To our apartment floor Get the feeling that I've Never been here before When you said you would leave I forgot how to breathe
