New Jersey power-pop purveyors Secret Mountain are slated to self-release their second record, Everyone in this band is fat, out May 10th. Their first single, “Instagram Death Threat,” is an apt representation of the record in its confidence and melancholy. Lead vocalist Alex Bevacqui sings of how much of a fuckin’ surprise it is when terrible people reveal themselves as such, with all the conviction of the roaring rhythm section and bursting guitars. “Instagram Death Threat” says just what it needs to.
