As the official arrival of summer inches ever closer, Jeanines returns with another glorious melody that’s sure to sweep you off your feet. “Too Late” is the latest single from the group’s upcoming Slumberland Records release and it’s a jam-packed one minute. Short, sweet, and full of heart, “Too Late” makes use of a repetitious instrumental pattern that’s coated in a touch of fuzz. It’s hurried pacing keeps you hooked, as vocalist Alicia Jeanine continues to repeat a confession of “being too late.” And as she revealed to TGE, “Too Late” is all about those delayed pangs of regret that arrive after you said something you shouldn’t have. However, much like the mood of this song, sometimes it all moves too fast, and you unfortunately find yourself caught up in a rush of emotions. Luckily, there’s always a chance to start again.
