I once walked to a pizza place in New Orleans and they had the cutest basket display of Community Records stickers and vinyl. The little dog logo is impossible not to fall in love with. And speaking of love, you’re going to fall head over heels for NOVA ONE’s new release “your girl.” It’s the first single off her album secret princess. It’s a minimally produced meditation on relationships and what we want from each other. “I just want to be your girl/I don’t know why” Roz Raskin sings. However, the lightness fades as she resigns “some things can’t be sorted out” over sparse drums and gentle guitar. We’re let down easily and the heartbreak isn’t quite too much to bear. The record comes out June 8, so preorder it now; it comes on both light pink and white.
