the beat: PONY — The Grey Estates

Welcome to The Beat, a TGE feature where our fave artists/bands/people give us tips on makeup! The most feature to ever me! Today we welcome Sam Bielanski of PONY. The band just released a new single, and you can hear it below.

1. The first thing I put on my face after cleansing, seruming, and moisturizing is Glossier Futuredew. if I don’t have time to put anything else on, I will always remember to put this on. It makes my skin glowy and dewy in all the right ways!

2. Following the dew, I apply a pea sized drop of KLAIRS Illuminating Supple BB Cream all over my face. I LOVE THIS BB CREAM! it’s also a SPF so it keeps you safe from the sun, It feels very light and gentle on my face. It’s pretty subtle coverage, but that is what I really love about it.

3. Everyone asks me about my brows and the secret is so damn simple! I use PEARS Soap. I think I saw this trick on YouTube, but I fully endorse it! All I do is dampen an eyebrow bush, and swirl in onto the bar of soap(not too wet though because you don’t want it to actually lather). Once the brush is nicely coated in soap I comb my brows from back to front and then upward to really volumize them, then I pat them in place with my fingers and voila!

4. I really love cream blushes and also anything that is easy to take on tour and put on my face in a moving vehicle. I also LOVE DREW BARRYMORE so i'm going to hype up her Flower Beauty BLUSH BOMB COLOR DROPS I use the colour “Pinched” and i'm obsessed with it! I put it on my face using my fingers so it’s super duper easy and it also makes for a lovely eyelid colour too!

5. Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm Tin I honestly just put this stuff anywhere I can — lips, eyelids, cheekbones, cuticles.

6. Glossier Generation G Lipstick is my favourite lipstick! It has a nice matte finish and it lasts a long time! My go to shades are Leo and Zip. If I am having a lazy day I will skip almost all of these other products and use Leo as a blush, lip colour and eye colour.

7. Glossier Niteshine Highlight in pale pearl is an incredible highlight that I always use for live shows! It makes my cheekbones look like glistening razorblades, in a good way!

8. Glossier Glitter Gelée is a perfect glitter gel, its honestly the only glitter I have ever used that stays in place while I’m performing and and I don't need to worry about it blinding me halfway through a song. They have a bunch of colours but Firewalk is by far my fave.
