Diet Cig’s "Harvard" is the perfect “screw you” anthem that’s fast paced, full of energy, and just fun to dance and scream along to. Even the video for “Harvard” is the perfect middle finger against authority who doesn't see the point in having fun. Every teenager and young adult knows that when it comes to having to take part in group activities it can be all about winning, but what's the fun in that? Especially when it comes to sports teams, and having the dreaded luxury of being the coach’s kid. No wants to feel forced into doing something they're not into, and this comes from my own experience of having my father coach my softball team for two years straight. This video portrays a powerful image of youngsters going against the system and having the time of their lives. It’s about what they want to do, even though it may go against their parents' wishes. The video is a reminder to live life, have fun, and don’t let anyone boss you around.
