video premiere: "Bobo" - Izzy True

In what's maybe the most uplifting and adorable Sailor Moon-inspired video you'll ever see, Izzy True seeks an answer on the band's new single "Bobo."

The video, directed by Pacco Ortiz, is the latest track to come from an upcoming Don Giovanni Records release, out August 3, and it's just as striking and emotive as its album counterpart. For much of the single, vocalist Isabel Reidy asks a question: "Will I be comforted?" And although the line is repeated, there's an urgency and weight added to their cries as the song continues. In between these periods of continuous wondering, Reidy also makes stray observations on a set of everyday occurrences happening around them, including the act of petting a nearby cat and dog. As the song draws to a close, it's never clear whether Reidy found an answer to their question, but the conclusion, with its impassioned cries and dynamic instrumentals, leaves an undeniable impression.
