In what’s literally the most adorable and appropriate paring, of music and visuals I’ve ever seen, Beach Bunny unveiled the new video for single “Cloud 9.” Directed and animated by Margaret Bialis, “Cloud 9” in visual form is a delightful, endearing trip that animates the pick-me-up emotional experience of falling in love.
True to its subject matter, “Cloud 9” is a musical mirror image of falling in love, and has vocalist Lili Trifilio reminiscing on all the good feels that accompany a relationship that’s akin to feeling like one is floating. The jubilant guitar and percussion work in perfect harmony, creating a dizzyingly joyful experience that’s awash in just a hint of fuzz. And whether you’re currently crushing or not, “Cloud 9” is an adorable, and far too brief, whirlwind of hearts, fuzzy feelings, and lyrics that, just like your last crush, get stuck in your head.
