The Spook School relays some of the most hopeful messages of resilience through their songs and "Still Alive", from a new album due out next year is no exception. Fuzzy, tight melodies back an emphatic cry of "fuck you, i'm still alive and I'm not going anywhere." As the band explained to DIY, the song comes with a two-fold purpose, fighting back against abusive relationships and recognizing the courage and strength needed by one to finally leave it behind. Much like the band's previously released Try to Be Hopeful, this track is one to play as loud as possible and celebrate the act of living, of just being you.

'Could It Be Different?' out January 26 on Alcopop! Records (UK) and Slumberland Records (US)
